Owned by Sahara India, this was the second team after home Hyderabad that was on the wishlist of Saina Nehwal. Lucknow has a history of providing good players to Badminton. Syed Modi was one such example. Their All-England Champion Muhammad Hafiz Hashim is only the second foreign coach in IBL. They finished Runners up.
