On the first day of Denmark Open 2014, from India only Ponnappa was in contention for the qualifying match. Playing with Russian Partner Vladimir Ivanov she won both the qualifying matches to enter the Main’s round starting tomorrow.
During their first match Jeppe Ludvigsen and Mai Surrow of Netherlands retired in the second game after losing the first game 21-18.
In the second match they defeated Mathias Christiansen and Lena Grebak 21-13, 21-17 to qualify for the main round.
In the Main round tomorrow they will start their campaign playing against Yun Lung Chan and Ying Suet Tse of Hong Kong.
