1975 WC Statistics: Feat of Gavaskar, Bedi and Indian Player Performance

The series saw Indian batsmen failing to realize they were supposed to score quick. While India’s top scorer and only player to aggregate 100 runs Gavaskar went on to create the slowest run scored in an innings, Bishan Singh Bedi produced one of the most economical bowling spell in the history of ODI. Farookh Engineer became the first Indian to be awarded Player of the Match. Overall, it was just a learning phase for Indians.
