Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders played both games at home. CSK and Rajasthan Royals won both the matches. KKR, Kings XI, Sunrisers and RCB could win and lose a game each. Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians failed to open their account. DD became the best losers playing the two closest matches of first game and losing both. MI was outplayed in both the games.

4 batsmen managed to aggregate 100+ runs as Chris Gayle (117) grabbed the Orange Cap again ahead of Gautam Gambhir (115), David Warner (110) and Brendum McCullum (104), who scored the only century so far in IPL 2015 and has also scored the maximum 9 6s so far ahead of Gayle’s 8 and 7 6s by Deepak Hooda and David Warner.
Warner is the only batsman with 2 50+ scores in both the matches, as Gayle (96) and Rohit Sharma (98*) produced the instances of scores in 90s.
Tahir Gets Purple Cap, Sandeep Sharma Is the Most Economic
Youngsters have impressed the most and so far bowlers have competed well in the historically batsmen-friendly IPL. 4 bowlers have grabbed the MOM awards.
Sandeep Sharma with an economy of 3.87 in 8 overs of 2 matches has the best economy. David Hooda has emerged as the best allrounder while Pravin Tambe and Ashwin are as usual economical. Sandeep Sharma has also bowled maximum 2 maiden overs in 2 matches. Imran Tahir’s 4/28 is the only instance of any bowler taking 4 or more wickets and with overall 5 wickets he has earned the Purple Cap.
Faulkner (0/55), Karn Sharma (0/51) and Rishi Dhawan (0/50) have been the most expensive bowlers in an innings so far.
