
Judoka Avtar Singh and Rower Dattu Baban Bhokanal represented India at the Rio Olympics. Rowing team was reduced from 3 to 1 as compared to London Olympics. Dattu Baban Bhokanal finished 13th in rowing while Avtar Singh was knocked out in 1st match.

History
In 2012 Olympics three Rowers qualified for India and reached the finals. Sawarn Singh finished 16th in Single sculls while in Lightweight double sculls Sandeep Kumar and Manjeet Singh finished 19th.
In Judo, Garima Chaudhary represented in Women’s 63 Kg. She lost in the first round.
