1976 Olympics: 1st Time No Medal in Hockey, No Wrestler After 1936

Montreal Olympics saw India return without any medal as traditional medal game Hockey team failed to reach the podium for the first time since 1928 Olympics. First time after Berlin Olympics, Indian team had no wrestler in the contingent. Sri Ram Singh finishing 7th in Men’s 800 metres was an achievement though.
