Hyderabad, India: Sharjah became the mecca of Cricket, organising the maximum number of tri-series in the history of Cricket. India – Pakistan rivalry got a new venue to reemerge outside India and Pakistan. But, when India refused to play in Sharjah, the effect was felt immediately. Earlier in one year, Sharjah used to host 2 tournamenst. Now, one rarely hears Sharjah as venue.

The country does not have a Cricket team in ICC. But, they have followers and sponsors to promote Cricket. An experiment of 1985 became a phenomenon for Cricket tri-series and other tournaments.
