Playing the pool match in ICC Champions Trophy, sent to bat first, half-centuries by captain Ganguly (90) and Laxman (79), that resulted in 161 run 2nd-wicket partnership also too India to 290/4. Unbroken partnership of 77 runs between Kaif (49) and Dravid (30) in just 7 overs lifted India to the highest total of this ground. Sehwag (17) and Yuvraj (9) failed to shine with bat.
Harbhajan’s 3/33 and Irfan Pathan’s 2/11 with tight bowling from Nehra, Agarkar (42/1) and part-time bowlers restricted Kenya to 192/7.
