In their second match of the Australian Tri-series, India and Pakistan played a thrilling game, but the fight of players marred the spirit of game.
In the first half of the game India struck 3 goals. Tushar and Rupinder struck goals for India. The second half of the game saw Pakistani players firing all guns, converting three of their many good moves. Penalty corner expert Sohail Abbas struck two goals, while captain Sakheel Abbasi scored the equaliser.
With 1 minute and 35 seconds left, a fight broke out between players from both team. Free-for-all fight saw players hitting and abusing each other.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Indian manager and assistant manager alongwith 3 Indian players (including Indian captain Tushar) and the Pakistani captain has been suspended for 1-5 matches for causing damage to the spirit of the game.
In the other two matches of the first leg of the tournament at Busselton, Australia won both games against India (8-3) and Pakistan (3-1).
