The second test saw Sydney Cricket Ground complete 100 test matches. The first day surprised all when Dhoni elected to bat. The result did not surprise any as India were bowled out on 191. Australia were 116/3 at stumps on Day 1. With just Ponting’s wicket gone on Day 2, Australia led by 291 runs, reaching 482/4. Day 3 saw Australia declaring at 659/4, and India, trailing by 468 runs, scoring 114/2. Despite scoring 400 runs in 2nd innings, India lost by an innings and 68 runs on 4th day.
