Deepika Kumari is already the most successful archer from India. Hailing from a Ranchi, she has helped India become a respectable force in the field of Archery. She has not won Gold at World Cup Finals, but has won two Silver medals and equalled World Record too for maximum points.

Born as the eldest daughter in the family of an autorickshaw driver and a nurse, she hails from Ratu Chati village of Ranchi, Jharkhand in India. Her talent was spotted by Seraikela-Kharsawan Archery. With her achievements in Archery, she has been also employed by Tata Steel as manager at Sports department in July 2012. When the world was looking forward to her in 2012, London Olympics saw her ouster early, shocking everyone.
