Since the start of Archery World Cup in 2006 that includes four Stages and then the final, India has managed to win only one Gold Medal, five Silver and one Bronze till 2017. Overall Indians have won 14 Gold, 27 Silver and 17 Bronze medals in Archery World Cup and its different stages and are placed 7th in the medal table till 2017 World Cup.
Dola Banerjee is the only Indian archer to have ever win the World Cup. She won Women’s Recurve event in 2007, at Dubai. She defeated Choi Eun-Young in the final.
Deepika Kumari won two silver medals, first in 2011 at Istanbul and second in 2012 at Tokyo in Women’s Individual Recurve. She lost the 2011 final to Chinese Cheng Ming, and 2012 final to Korean Ki Bo-Bae.
Jayanta Talukdar won Bronze in Men’s Individual Recurve in 2010 at Edinburgh. Earlier in same event he had finished 4th in 2006, and 2009.
Deepika Kumari and Dola Banerjee lost the quarterfinal in Women’s Individual Recurve in 2010.
