T20 WC Lowest Scores: 2014 Gets 6th Big Nation Below 100

After already being the King of below 100 team totals, 2014 T20 World Cup produced two such scores on same day on March 31st followed by another one on April 1st to increase the record tally to 7 instances of lowest T20 scores in World Cups, giving it one more reason to be the best World Cup. Among 53 instances of teams scoring below 100 runs in T20 internationals, T20 World Cups have witnessed 21 such innings. Overall, in World Cups while 6 test playing nations have scored below 100 runs, only two associates have the distinction of bowling the opponent out below 100 runs. Afghanistan is the softest target, while Sri Lanka and South Africa are the most ruthless in World Cups. In overall T20 matches, India is the only team to have been bowled out only once below 100 runs (74 vs Australia, Melbourne, 2008). Interestingly, they have bowled out two opponents below 100 runs that too in World Cup, including Australia.
