FIFA World Cup 2014 Team Profile: England

England played the World’s first International Football match in 1872 vs Scotland. But at FIFA World Cup its performance in last 13 editions has been more of a quarterfinal team. Despite having the most popular Premier League of the world, England has reached beyond quarterfinal twice. First when they won the championship in
1966 at home and then in 1990 when they finished 4th. Their one of the hattricks have come in the final. Even in their 14th appearance they are counted as good to be just a quarter finalist, not beyond.
