India Open 2015: Sameer Verma Upsets 5th Ranked Danish Vittinghus

Sameer Verma provided the first major upset of India Open on Day 1 of Mains round as he shocked 5th seed Danish Vittinghus 21-15, 21-17. Sameer Verma is the brother of Sourabh Verma and trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad. He is supported by the GoSports Foundation Bangalore. Earlier also he has impressed.

Other Achievements
His first achievement was a silver medal in the Asian Junior Badminton Championships, 2011.
He also won silver at the men’s singles at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games
In 2012 reached the final of the Iran Open.
