Singapore Open 2015: Kashyap Meets Giant Killer Yun Hu in Semis, Loses

Singapore Open 2015 Men’s Singles event has produced most unexpected results. First the top 6 seeds were knocked out on the same day in the 2nd round leaving all unseeded players in quarterfinals. With Saina Nehwal being the only Indian winner (2010) in this tournament, Parupalli Kashyap is the only Indian left in the tournament after HS Prannoy had to give walkover. Kashyap plays semifinal against giant killer Yun Hu. Here is an analysis. Kashyap lost the semifinal to Yun Hu in 3 sets.

    QF Def TIAN Houwei (China) 17-21 21-18 21-10 in 1 hour 8 minutes.

HS Prannoy gave walkover and Kento Momota (Japan) reached the semifinal where he meets Santoso.
