
While Vidya Pillai became the first Indian women to enter World Snooker Championships, Amee Kamani won the title of Eden World Women’s Championship 2017 – Challenge Cup. 6 Indian women entered the Round of 16, and two reached the semifinals. With Vidya Pillai, Varshaa Sanjeev reached the World Championship knockout. Rest of the 6 Indian women who failed at Group Stage were eligible with others for the Challenge Cup. Amee won the title, while Chitra reached the semifinals. Amee Kamani had won two matches at Group stage, losing only one, but was unlucky to have not reached the Round of 16 in the Main event.

Neeta Kothari: Reached QF, lost all three matches at Group F
Sunita Damani: Reached QF after winning Round of 16. She too lost all three matches at Group C
Sunita Khandelwal: Lost in Round of 16 after losing all three matches at Group B
Neelam Mittal: Lost in Round of 16 after losing all three matches at Group G.
Amee Kamani won £200 as Challenge Cup Winner.
