
India’s good performance in Shooting World Cups of 2017 continued as after medals in Delhi, India won a Gold medal at Mexico World Cup. Ankur Mittal missed Gold at Delhi world cup earlier this year. He compensated for it by winning the Double Trap Gold medal ahead of the Aussie to whom he lost Gold at Delhi in February this year. Ankur Mittal won the 62nd World Cup medal for India. Indian, Spain and USA have won a gold medal each in three events.
Equalling the World record with 75 hits, Ankur Mittal won by 2 points. Shapath Bhardwaj finished 12th in the same event. In Trap men, Zoravar Singh Sandhu finished 8th, Kynan Chenai 16th and Birendeep Singh Sodhi finished 53rd.
In Skeet event, three more Indians – Amrinder Cheema, Man Singh and Angad Vir Singh Bajwa are set to participate on Saturday
