
Mohit Khatana and Satender Rawat entered the final of the 2017 Junior Asian Championships held at in Puerto Princesa, Philippines. They will play the finals tomorrow. Mohit Khatana (80kg) and Satender Rawat (80+kg) were two of the 8 semifinalists from India. Other 6 were forced to settle for Bronze. The finals will have 8 from Kazakhstan and 6 from Uzbekistan among finalists from 7 other countries including 2 from India.
Mohit Khatana (80kg) triumphed over Uzbekistan’s Kamronbek Rakhmonov in the semifinal contest. He will play the final against Kazakhstan’s Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup winner Sagyndyk Togambay.
Satender Rawat (80+kg) surprised Kazakhstan’s favourite Arnur Akhmetzhanov in the semifinal contest. He will play the final against Uzbekistan’s Heydar Aliyev Junior Cup winner Shokhrukh Almatov.
