Asia Cup 2017 Day 3: Indians Win Big, Japan Holds Pakistan

Asia Cup 2017 may be known in future for number 7. In first 6 matches, 4 teams have scored 7 goals in a match. On Day 3 as Pool A teams played two matches, Indians shot 7 goals to register their 7th consecutive win at Asia Cup against the hosts, who failed to score again in second consecutive match. After 13 goals on Day 1, 17 goals on Day 2, 11 goals were scored on Day 3 where India shot to top of Pool A as Japan held Pakistan for a draw.

Hosts Get Another 7-0 Thumping, Now By India
After losing first match against Pakistan by 7-0, hosts would have planned for a better performance but the Indian attack did not let them breathe and in the end the result was same for Bangladesh, another defeat by 0-7 margin. India on the other hand matched the 7 goal feat of Pakistan, Malaysia and South Korea. All these teams have scored 7 goals in one match of Asia Cup 2017 now, after completion of 6 games.

Indians opened their account in 7th minue and scored 3 goals in first quarter, 2 goals in second quarter. While the third quarter saw the best performance from Bangladesh, the last quarter saw Indians scoring two goals in the first two minutes.

2-2 draw in First Match: Pak vs Japan
Japan’s coach had mentioned that they are not here to just fill the numbers. Although they lost against India they showed their calibre by drawing against Pakistan. First, they equalised and then they took lead before Pakistan ensured that at least they don’t lose.
