Indian hunt for 7th French Open Super Series title got a boost in Quarterfinals today after having 4 berths in QF yesterday. After 2012 Runners up finish of Saina Nehwal, first time Indians crossed the quarterfinals at French Open Super Series. PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy and last week’s Denmark Open Super Series winner Srikanth Kidambi produced one of the rare instances of three Indians reaching the semifinals of a Super Series. Chirag/Satwik lost to 2nd seeds but ensured respect and great future hopes.

Srikanth leads 2-1 in career meet of international matches against HS Prannoy. While Srikanth is a title away from being the first Indian to win 4 Super Series title in one year, HS Prannoy is searching for his second super series title after winning the first one in 2016.
PV Sindhu needs one Super Series title to become third Indian after Saina Nehwal (2010) and Srikanth (2017) to win 3 Super Series title in a year. She will face Akane Yamaguchi, who has knocked out Saina Nehwal twice in two weeks. Sindhu leads 3-1 in career meet having won the last three matches against Yamaguchi.
