Commonwealth Wrestling Championships: Indians Sweep With 19 out of 20 Gold Medals in Two Days, and 17 Silver, 3 Bronze

Commonwealth Wrestling Championships at Johannesburg has been completely dominated by Indians as all their 20 participants won a medal. They have won 19 of the 20 Gold medals at stake in Greco-Roman and Women’s Wrestling events. The only event where Nigerian went ahead of them, they won Silver and Bronze. Overall, 15th Dec saw complete sweep in Greco-Roman with 10 Gold and 10 Silver medals and 16th Dec had 9 Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Bronze in Women’s Wrestling. Today, Men’s Freestyle event will take place. India has fielded 20 wrestlers in each category. Check results.
