India wins silver in men’s compound team final
India beats Malaysia to win bronze medal in women’s archery team compound

Jhuma Khatun qualifies for women’s 1500m final.
High Jump : Hari Sankar Roy qualified to next round with jump of 2.16.
Nikhil Chittarasu also qualified with same distance.

Indian team defeats England in semifinal to reach Mixed-doubles final for the first-ever time in India’s history.

Akhil Kumar beat Qadir Khan (Pak) 7-0 in bantamweight category
Amandeep Sing beat Haziza Matusi of Rwanda 4-0 in Light Flyweight (49kg)

Indian cyclist misses bronze by a whisker in Track – Men’s 4,000m Team Pursuit. SOMBIR, Satbir Singh, Vinod Malik and Rajender Bishnoi finished 4th.

India’first-ever medal was won in Gymnastics by Ashish Kumar. He won bronze in floor exercises in Gymnastics. The 19 year old scored 14.475 points.

India Men lose to Australia 5-2.

In Women’s Pairs Round 7 India defeated Namibia 3-2 in tie-break
In Women’s Triples Round 6 India defeated Niue 42-5.

Indian shooters Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh won Gold in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol (pairs) event
Omkar Singh and Gurpreet Singh won 2nd Gold of the day for India in the men’s 10 mtr pistol.
Ronjan Sodhi won silver in men’s (singles) double trap event.

A Reddy won 3-0 in Women’s Singles- Consolation Plate semifinals
Anaka ALANKAMONY won 3-1 in Women’s Singles – Plate semifinal. She will play Sharon Wee of Malaysia in the final.

Table Tennis
India beat England 3-0 in women’s table tennis team championship to reach final.
India beat South Africa 3-1 in Men’s Team Event Quarterfinal.

Poojashree and Nirupama won Women’s Doubles quarterfinal against English pair.
Sania Mirza defeated New Zealand’s Marina Erakovic 6-2, 6-3 to enter semifinals of the women’s singles.
Somdev entered Men’s Single semifinal.
Paes and Bhupathi reached semifinal in Men’s Doubles.
Bopanna and Somdev also reached Men’s Doubles Semifinal.
Rushmi Chakravarthi lost to Olivia Rogowska 5-7, 4-6 in Women’s Singles Quarterfinal.
Leander Paes and Sania Mirza lost to Scot pair in mixed doubles.

Sudhir Kumar won bronze in men’s 77kg weightlifting category.

Geeta struck gold in the 55kg Freestyle Wrestling category beating Emily Bensted of Australia.
Nirmala Devi has to settled for a silver against Carol Huynh of Canada in the women’s 48kg (freestyle) wrestling.
Suman Kundu of India won bronze in the women’s wrestling freestyle 63 kg category
Anshu Tomar lost in Elimination round of Women’s 72 Kg.
