1994 Football World Cup: Brazil Leads the World With 4th Title

United States hosted the 15th FIFA World Cup from 17th June to 17th July at 9 venues as Brazil moved ahead of Germany and Italy to win their 4th title. The tournament had the maximum viewers. African nations quota was increased to three based on better performances. The tournament saw the first indoor match (United States Vs Switzerland), and its own goal impact saw Colombian defender Andrés Escobar shot dead on return.
