Zimbabwe used 8 bowlers. Chatara (3/42) and Kamungozi (0/53) completed their spells of 10 over each. Panyangara (0/66 in 9 overs) was the most expensive. Solomon Mire (2/39 in 8 overs) was again impressive. Even Williams (2/43 in 8 overs) was among the wickets. Sikandar Raza (0/11 in 3 overs), Chigumbura (0/12 in 1 over) and Masakadza (0/9 in 1 over) also rolled their hands.

Zimbabwe Chase Without Much Challenge
A 64-run opening wicket partnership between Sikandar Raza (44-ball 46) and Chakabwa (35 runs) gave Zimbabwe a confident start. But wicket of Masakadza (1) in 16th over appeared a setback. Brendon Taylor (44-ball 47) and Williams got them back on track. Solomon Mire (9) could not score much, but Ervine (32-ball 42 runs) thwarted any challenge that UAE bowlers could have thrown adding the biggest partnership of the match. He and Williams added 83 runs for 6th wicket. Captain Chigumbura (14*) in the company of unbeaten Williams (65-ball 76 runs with 7 4s and a six) added unbeaten 36 runs for the 7th wicket as Zim reached 286/6 in 48 overs to win by 4 wickets.

For UAE, bowling was a major concern. None of them were economic. Mohammad Naveed (1/60) bowled the only maiden of their innings but went for runs. With him Nasir Aziz (1/53) was the other bowler to complete his quota of 10 overs. Amjad Javed (1/49) Mohammad Tauqir (2/51) and Krishna Chandran (1/59) bowled 9 overs each.
