Malaysian Masters Day 3: Saina and Jayaram Stand Tall to Reach QF Amidst Rubble of Doubles Teams

Day 3 was expected to be challenging for the 5 Doubles team of Indians, and none could win including the 3rd seed Men’s Doubles team of Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy. From the huge Indian contingent only top seed Saina Nehwal and 6th seed Ajay Jayaram, in the meanwhile, reached the Quarterfinals and will play the opponents whom they have met before too. Will one of them emulate PV Sindhu and get India the third title of Malysian Masters!

Head to Head for Saina and Jayaram
Saina has defeated Fitriani twice when they played in 2016 Indonesia Open and then Asia Championships.
Ajay Jayaram has a 1-2 record against Ginting as they played thrice against each other in 2016. Jayaram won the last match played at Hong Kong Open. Before that Ginting won at French Open at Asian Team Championship.
