Indian Women Win Stage 2 to Qualify for World Women’s Hockey League 2017 Semis

Indian women’s Hockey team qualified for the Women’s Hockey World League Semifinals to be held at Johannesburg, South Africa from 8-23 July 2017. In the second stage held at Canada, they emerged winner. Indians must finish in top 4 to qualify for the World Group Finals to be held at Auckland.

Finals

    Semis: Ind def Belarus 4-0 (2 each by G Kaur and Rani)
    Final: Ind def Chile 1-1 (3-1) (Barla)

In the semifinals at South Africa, Indians will participate with 8 other teams where with India, Chile, Ireland and Poland have qualified from Round 2. Argentina, England, Germany, Japan and USA have qualified by top 10 rankings.
Other semifinals will be held from 21 June–2 July 2017 at Brussels, Belgium.
The top four from each semifinals will qualify for the finals to be held in Auckland from 17–26 November 2017.
