Saina wins, India A step away from Third Title at Malaysian Masters Challenge

Top seed Saina Nehwal tamed her 5th seed opponent to register semifinal win in just 32 minutes to reach the final of Malaysian Masters Challenge 2017. Besides Saina, Top seed Angus in Men’s Singles and Women’s Dobules Thailand pair also reached the final. Mixed Doubles has 2nd seed Malaysian pair in final, while Men’s Doubles will have unseeded in the finals. Title win for Saina will make her second Indian to win at Malaysian Masters after Sindhu, who has won twice. Sindhu is the defending champion and has earlier won in 2013.

Saina defeated Pui Yin (Hong Kong) 21-13 21-10 to register 7th win in their 9th career meet. She will meet unseeded Pornpawee Chochuwong from Thailand in the final. They have never played before against each other.
