
Ritu Phogat won Silver in 48 Kg event at World Wrestling Championships Under-23 being held from Nov 21 to 21 at Poland. She lost to Evin (Turkey) in the final. Among 25 participating nations, Indian women finished 8th in ranking with 24 points. They won 9 points in 48 Kg, 6 points each in 69 Kg and 75 Kg with 3 points in 58 Kg. Japanese women won 6 of the 8 events in Women category. Turkey and France won 1 Gold each. While Indian women contingent did not participate in all the events, Indian Men will participate in all the events of Freestyle and Greco-Roman.
