1974 saw Indian Boxing and Weightlifting squads winning first medals at Commonwealth Games. Wrestlers again spearhead the Indian charge to medal tally winning 10 of the 15 medals won by India to finish 6th again. Wrestlers again won all the four gold medals while Mohinder Singh Gill became the first Indian from Athletics squad to win two medals in two successive Commonwealth Games. He won Bronze in 1970 CWG. Indians won 4 Gold, 8 Silver, 3 Bronze in 1974 Commonwealth Games.
