India@CWG: Indian Medals at 1978 Commonwealth Games

In 1978, Indians won again 15 medals but Badminton and Weightlifting contributed Gold medals for the first time in Indian tally. Prakash Padukone and Ekambaram Karunakaran became the first in their sports to win Gold medals for India. Wrestling again contributed with maximum medals winning overall 9 with 3 Gold medals while 5 sports contributed in Indian tally of 5 Gold, 5 Silver, 5 Bronze.
