T20 World Cup 2012 1st Semifinal: SL Equal Record, Pak Bows Out

Sri Lanka, the hosts, defended a low total against the best team of T20 World Cup, Pakistan to win by 16 runs. Lankans reached the World Cup final for the second time. Only Pakistan has reached two finals in the World Cup.

Pakistan had the historical edge, but except the two easy chances left by Malinga, Sri Lankans kept their nerves calm with the roar of supporters behind them.
