Indians sent 9 pugilists to Tokyo Olympics. The five men and four women earned their spots by winning medals at different international events. For the second time, Indian women participated. 2012 Olympics winner, Mary Kom, and three others formed the Indian Women’s team. Lovlina Borgohain won Bronze medal, making two medals in two Olympics for Indian women pugilists.
